4th of July 5K Winchester 2013
4th of July morning started with the 5K race. Wednesday night, I told Erik that I didn't want to do it, and I wanted to sleep in. But then, the kids pretty much woke us up by 7:00 am anyway, so we decided to go for it.
It was pretty steamy outside. The temperature was 82 degrees, but the humidity was out of control!
I ran pretty hard at the beginning, but then realized towards the last mile I had run out of gas!
I was soooo tired! My times was 26:04 which I was pretty pleased with and hopefully next year I can finish stronger :)
This man is 82 years old and runs all of the local races. That's pretty awesome.
So Jackson was taking pictures and I guess people thought they might as well pose for his camera. Haha
Next up was Jackson's one mile race! As you can imagine the heat kept going up, but he did such a great job!
Look at him go!
Determination right there! :)
Yay Jackson!
Next up was Anna and Wyatt's 100 yard dash! This was the first time Anna ever participated in one of these things, and I couldn't get over how cute the whole thing was.
I need to crop myself out of this pictures, because Anna looks absolutely adorable running!
We were sweaty and hot, but we did it! It was the perfect way to start our holiday for sure.
